New shows booked!

Celia has accepted the Prelude Choir position at the Schauer Center.  The Prelude Choir is for children in grades k-3.  No audition will be necessary for the prelude choir.  Rehearsals begin September 20, 2010.

I am currently taking a break from live performances while I get some new projects up and running.  My husband and I recently bought a house after living in an apartment for 2 years.  As we unpack our lives -most of our musical gear has been in boxes the last 2+ years- we are having a blast rediscovering old instruments, music books, research tools and compositions.  Our new home is a wonderful creative space and we are spending hours each week practicing and jamming!

In other news, my teaching studio is in full swing.  This summer I have been teaching one day a week at White House of Music in Germantown, teaching a few traveling piano lessons, taking students in my new home studio and running the Early Childhood Music Program at the Schauer Arts Center.

As summer schedules wind down over the next 5 weeks I will begin prepping for fall 2010.  My choir at the Schauer Center will begin rehearsing the third week of September. Early Childhood Music and Movement will resume in October and fall private lessons will begin in September.
